Why is EasyRecipe better?

Because not only is EasyRecipe an easy way to let the search engines get your recipes in the format that helps you get the most exposure for your recipes, it really IS easy to use.  Simply cut and paste your recipe in Easy Recipe and hit publish. The options on our EasyRecipe screen are the ones Google looks for.

Why can’t I see my formatted recipe in my edit window just like I see it on my page?

The microformatting markup that we provide to Google and the other search engines can get really messed up if you edit the recipe outside of EasyRecipe.   So we prevent you from pulling your hair out by asking you to edit your recipe in the EasyRecipe window.  It’s easy to edit a recipe, just click inside the placeholder and you can change any of your original information.

Can you convert my recipes from another plugin?

We CAN but it all depends on what other things another plugin has added.  We can’t guarantee that you won’t need to do some manual editing, but usually Easy Recipe will take care of most of the work for you.

What is microformatting?

Microformatting adds information to your WordPress blog in a manner that the search engines require for best optimization and placement in their search results.  The old saying, “give them what they want and they’ll be happy” is definitely true with Google and recipes. Where can I get help?

We’ll do our best to help you with any problem you have with EasyRecipe.  Leave a comment on the Support page and we’ll answer you as quickly as we can.

Can I donate to help with support and ongoing development?

Easy Recipe is 100% free but any help with ongoing development costs will be appreciated.  If you don’t wish to donate, that’s fine, but we would ask you leave the link back to us on your recipes and rate us at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/easyrecipe/
