Want to Guest Post on Orgasmic Chef?

by Maureen on July 24, 2012

guest post on OrgasmicChef.comI have always wanted guest posts on Orgasmic Chef but until now the method for putting the posts in has been clunky and involved a lot of work. I couldn’t find a plugin that worked just like WordPress but didn’t require joining and having to use the dashboard.

Few people want strangers to register and then try to find their way around their dashboard.  Just the worry of hackers has always concerned me althought that might be totally unfounded.

I went to my trusty programmer (he shares the bed with Charlie the dog and me) and said, “I would love to showcase other food writers’ orgasmic recipes but it’s just so much work.  They have to write it all up in an email and attach the photos and then I’ve got to copy it and paste it and upload the photos.  Can you add a guest post feature?”

Many people using the EasyRecipe plugin have asked for the same thing so I knew I wasn’t alone.  There are heaps of people who love doing guest posting and even more people who’d love to have a few guest posts on their blogs for when they need to be away.

My last post was about my sticky date pudding guest post on at Cafe Terra Blog.  With the guest post feature I could have gone there, added my recipe, uploaded the photos and the entire post would be sitting in her drafts folder just waiting for her to add her promo.

So,  without further ado…

I’m beta testing the newest guest post functionality of the EasyRecipe Plugin for WordPress. It will be part of our new EasyRecipe Plus with other bells and whistles that other bloggers have asked for.

Do you have an orgasmic  recipe you’d like to share with my readers?

… seriously orgasmic where you’d rather eat that dish of food than have sex,  I would LOVE to share it with my readers.  As you know, I do like showcasing other food writers work.

Try it out for yourself here

The new EasyRecipe Plus plugin will be available very soon and it will have the Easy Guest Post feature all installed.  Other nifty upgrades too!  (We’ll be offering another stand alone guest post version for non-food blogs too).  Please try it and let me know if you have any problems or issues with it?  It IS the first test so it might be buggy but fingers crossed it will be perfect.  heh

Are you kidding, Charlie? I drool on every recipe you post. I hate to impose on people and beg them to guest post.. can you tell my confidence sags a bit? :)

Please post? I’ll get down on one knee. Maybe two.

What a great idea to test your plug in Maureen! I bet you get loads of people interested in it!! :) And hehe I chuckled at your trusty programmer who shares your bed with you and Charlie the dog. I bet not every programmer could claim that!

We have a king sized bed and I live with a man who likes to snuggle. So I hold on to the edge of the bed, then there’s John and the dog has 2/3 of the bed, but does he stay there? No, he sleeps at my feet.

I hope you’ll do a guest post one day, Lorraine! I’d really love it.

Great idea, Maureen. I’ve been loving your EasyRecipe plugin so I’m sure your new idea will be well received, too. It would make guest posting so much easier!

I would love to submit a recipe sometime–I’ll just have to make sure it will be more than good enough for you and your readers. Will start thinking of the perfect dish to share here. Chocolate would be a good place to start, right? :)

I must confess, the idea of a plug in that allows guest posts makes my mind boggle a little. Such cleverness! One day I will move myself across to wordpress and actually be able to use all of these things (sigh).

How cool you are developing such a great plugin. I am in awe.

I would love to do a guest for some time. I have a recipe I first posted on the blog called “sex on the wtf” that I’ve been dying to revamp. I need to take new pics of the old one too so would give me an excuse to play around with tweaking the recipe.
